Private & Shared Fes To Marrakech Desert Tour
Day 1: Fes ⇢ Middle Atlas ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Merzouga
After breakfast at your hotel or riad, your Fes to Marrakech desert excursion starts. Drive to Morocco’s beautiful desert next. The first stop will be in Ifrane, often known as the Swiss of Morocco. After a brief break, you proceed to drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping somewhere in the cedar trees to observe the Barbary macaques.
Depending on when you wish to have lunch, it will be in a restaurant somewhere on the route. You will pause for a panoramic vista of the Ziz Valley prior to reaching Merzouga (full of palm trees).
After arriving in Merzouga in the evening, you will ride camels (one for each of you) across the expansive sand dunes of Erg Chebbi to a desert camp. See a spectacular sunset from the top of a sand dune and spend the evening in your camp with the Berber people, who were formerly nomads.
Day 2: Merzouga ⇢ Todra Gorge ⇢ Boumalne Dades
A calm sunrise this morning is strongly advised, so get up early. Enjoy your final camel trek excursion before leaving the desert after a satisfying meal at your camp.
Drive via the Rissani, Erfoud, and Todgha Gorges to reach Boumalne Dades. You can visit a traditional market in Rissani to learn about a portion of southern Moroccan culture if it is Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday. Take a stroll along the Todra River in Tinghir as it flows beneath the Todgha Canyon.
Arriving in the evening at Boumalne Dades. You will drive through the Dades Valley to a location where you can observe the magnificent rock formations known as the monkey fingers before arriving at your lodging. Get a hotel room for the night in Boumalne Dades.
Day 3: Boumalne Dades ⇢ Ait Ben Haddou ⇢ Atlas Mountains ⇢ Marrakech
Your three day trip through the desert from Fez to Marrakech ends today. Following a sumptuous breakfast at your lodging, you will drive through the Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate to reach Ait Ben Haddou. Several Berber settlements will be encountered along the trip.
Visit the Atlas Studio in Ouarzazate, where numerous unique props from the making of numerous movies are still on display, or just take some exterior photos.
The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which was utilized for the Yunkai portion of Game of Thrones and for many other well-known films like Gladiator, is located about 15 kilometres from Ouarzazate.
You will drive to Marrakech over the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka after visiting the Kasbah and eating lunch (2260 m above sea level). Admire the breathtaking scenery as you go. Arriving in the evening in Marrakech.
