Itinerary
Day1 Tangier → Chefchaouen
Meet your driver in Tangier and head south-east through the Rif hills to Chefchaouen. After checking in, stroll the blue alleys, browse the small workshops of weavers and leather-makers, and relax on Outa el-Hammam square with a mint tea. Sunset from the Spanish Mosque is a must.
Day2 Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes
Drive to Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman site in Morocco, where mosaics of Bacchus and Orpheus still lie in the ruins of villas beside a triumphal arch. See the holy town of Moulay Idriss from a viewpoint, then continue to Meknes for Bab Mansour and El Hedim square before reaching Fes.
Day3 Fes sightseeing
A guided day in the medina of Fes. Start at the golden gates of the Royal Palace and the old Jewish quarter, then enter Fes el-Bali through Bab Boujloud. Discover madrasas, fountains and caravanserais, the leather tanneries and the souks where craftsmen still work as they did centuries ago.
Day4 Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Merzouga
Cross the Middle Atlas via Ifrane and the Azrou cedar forest, where macaques often come close to the road. After lunch in Midelt, the landscape turns dry and dramatic as we follow the Ziz Valley south. In Merzouga, ride a camel into the dunes of Erg Chebbi for sunset and your first night at our camp.
Day5 Merzouga: Khamlia, nomad families and Mifis mines
A full day to feel the desert. Explore by 4x4: share tea with a nomad family in their tent, listen to the hypnotic rhythms of Gnawa musicians in Khamlia and visit the abandoned Mifis mines. Relax at camp in the afternoon, try sandboarding, then climb a dune for a second sunset over the Sahara.
Day6 Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorge → Boumalne Dades
Sunrise, breakfast and a visit to Rissani, the old caravan town and birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. Drive west through Alnif and Tinghir to walk inside Todra Gorge, then continue to Boumalne Dades, with its dramatic valley and rock formations.
Day7 Dades → Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou → Marrakech
Travel the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs via Kalaat M'Gouna and Skoura to Ouarzazate, then explore the Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou. Cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass and arrive in Marrakech in the evening, where your driver drops you at your riad or hotel.

What to pack
Sunglasses, sunscreen, a scarf for the wind, comfortable shoes and a warm layer: desert nights are cold from November to March.
Best time to travel
October to May is ideal. In summer we start early and rest at midday to avoid the heat. Every season has its own beauty.
Food & diets
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals are possible. Just tell us when you book or let your driver know on day one.
How to book
Send us your dates and number of travellers. We reply with a price for your group. A small deposit confirms the tour; the balance is paid in cash on the first day (euros, dollars or dirhams).
Frequently asked questions
Which vehicles do you use?
Comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles adapted to your group: 4x4 Land Cruisers or minivans for small groups, and Mercedes Sprinter minibuses for groups of 8 or more.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as possible, especially for spring, autumn and holiday periods. Last-minute requests are welcome too — contact us and we will do our best.
