Day 1 : MARRAKECH-OUARZAZATE-ZAGORA
Your 2-day trip to the desert will begin from Marrakech at around 7 am. The highest road peak in Morocco, Tizi n’Tichka (2260m), was passed as we traveled into the High Atlas mountains. You will stop for photos and a coffee break along the way on the breathtakingly winding mountain road.
The first visit is at the 12th-century Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ait Ben Haddou has served as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood and foreign films. The English-speaking local guide will meet you there and lead you to the kasbah. After that, you’ll make a stop to the Draa Valley, where the stunning Ksour and Kasbah are located.
You will arrive at the Zagora desert before dusk. Enjoy your one-hour ride to the desert campsite as the sun sets. You can enjoy live music and a delectable Berber supper there.
Day 2 : ZAGORA DESERT – MARRAKECH
After a delicious Moroccan breakfast and an early wake-up call for a camel ride through the dunes to view the magnificent sunrise. We travel to Ouarzazate, sometimes known as “The Gate of the Desert.” There we travel to the Taourirt Kasbah and filming locations for well-known movies. the High Atlas mountains and the Tizi Ntichka pass on the way back to Marrakech.
