Day 1: Fes ⇢ Ifrane⇢ Merzouga Desert
At 8:00 a.m., your driver will pick you up at your riad or hotel. The journey will take seven hours and will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, through the cedar forests of Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco), Azrou, Midelt, and the Ziz Gorges, before reaching the Sahara and the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We head to the camels that are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes after relaxing for a while at Merzouga. We’ll walk to a high dune to see the sun set and spend the night in nomadic tents before spending the night in a camp with drum music in the heart of the Sahara.
Day 2: Merzouga ⇢ Midelt ⇢ Fes
We will rise early to soak in the stunning dawn in the sand dunes before riding camels back to the hotel. We will travel to Fez after eating breakfast and cooling off. As we leave the desert region and make our way towards Fez, we will pass through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas Mountains. As we travel through Azrou’s cedar trees, we shall pause to feed the monkeys. To get to Fez early in the afternoon, we’ll travel on through Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco.

At the start of your camel trek, a 4×4 vehicle will convey your luggage. As a result, your bags will be there when you arrive at the camp.
