Day 2:Rabat ⇢Chefchaoun
Our second day begins with a delicious breakfast in the riad before we begin our tour of Rabat.firstly we will explore the magnificent Mausoleum of Mohammed V, which is made of white marble and staine glass windows. Then to Hassan tower with view of the Wadi Bou Regreg. Continue your tour of the Oudaa Kasbah, which Moulay Ismail built between 1672 and 1727 to safeguard the city, which is also surrounded by ramparts from the Almohad era.Â
The next stop is Chefchaouen, a favorite tourist destination for both Moroccans and foreigners, especially during the sweltering summer months. Chefchaouen is known for its brilliant blue-rinned houses. Discover the many souks that provide food and artisanal goods that are housed in the meandering streets and little alleys. Spend the night at Chefchaouen.
Day 3: Chefchaoun⇢ Fes
We begin our journey toward Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial capitals, after breakfast in our riad. As we go to the city where we have lunch, we pass by numerous breathtaking landscapes and viewpoints. The most stunning locations in the city, such as the Karouin mosque, leather tanneries, and the medina with its lovely Souks and museum of Moroccan art, with the help of a local guide. We’ll spend the night in a riad.
Day 4: Fes ⇢ Volubilis⇢ Meknes
Start the day by traveling to the Volubilis archaeological site (Walili). Start exploring the intriguing Roman ruins with lovely mosaics and vibrant tiles that reflect Roman mythology. Volubilis recognize by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and as the most beautiful site in the area.
Moving on, we arrive in Meknes, which was Sultan Moulay Ismail’s choice for the capital at the end of the 17th century. The city’s construction included 20 gates, more than 50 palaces, and a 15-mile perimeter wall. Some of the city’s top attractions are revealed to us, including Bab Mansour Gate, Place El-Hedim (Square of Ruins), and Inania Medersa ( Koranic school). Spend the night in Meknes at a hotel or a riad.
Day 5:Meknes⇢ Merzouga
Early in the morning, we leave the Riad and begin our desert excursion toward the Sahara, passing close to Ifran National Park, sometimes known as “the Switzerland of Morocco.” A break will be taken to appreciate its splendor and take special shots. To see the Barbary Apes monkeys in the cedar forest, keep traveling toward Azrou. going on to Midelt to a restaurant for lunch. To get to Errachidia by the afternoon, we will cross the Tizi N Telghomt pass while appreciating the views of the Ziz gorges, which provide incredible photo opportunities. We’ll stop later for a panoramic vista of the Ziz valley.Â
The route continues past the fossil capital of Erfoud and Aoufous to the Erg Chebbi Dunes. We will next proceed to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi. Once at the hotel, get ready for an hour and a half-long camel ride to take in the sunset. Dinner and overnight at a luxurious camp.
