We could have time to visit the Hassan II mosque before making the overnight trip to Rabat, depending on what time you arrive in Casablanca. Rabat at night
Day 2: Rabat ⇢ Chefchaouen
We’ll start the day by touring Rabat, the capital of our nation, and taking in its historical landmarks including the Hassan Tower, Shella Kasbah, and Oudaya Kasbahs. Then, we depart Rabat in the direction of Chefchaouen, a town that is well-known for its vibrant blue-roofed homes and is a favorite of both visitors and Moroccans, especially during the scorching summer. There will be enough time in Chefchaouen to explore the twisting alleyways and tiny passageways that are home to a large number of souks that sell food and handmade goods. Spend the night at Chefchaouen.
Day 3: Chefchaouen ⇢ Meknes ⇢Fes
After breakfast in your riad, we’ll start our journey to Fez by stopping at the 1997-designated UNESCO World Heritage site of Volubilis. You may explore well-known Roman ruins in Morocco right here. We then proceed to Meknes, the Ismaili capital of Morocco. You will visit the granary, the Sahrij Souani, which was used for irrigation and cultivation, as well as Meknes’ fascinating Bab Mansour gate, which the sultan My Ismail built. A visit to the Mulay Ismail Mausoleum is also included. After lunch, we’ll travel to Fez where we’ll stay the night in a local riad.
Day 4: Fes guided tour
You begin a day tour in the city of Fez with a native guide, where time has stood still in the historic medina. Fes is a gorgeously maintained medieval city with donkey-wide streets and souks. The magnificent palace gate, the mosaic factory, La Mederasa Attarine, the Nejjarine Fountain, the mosques of El Karaouyine, Medsera Bou Inania, and Tanneries are just a few of the iconic sites and crafts you’ll visit during your guided tour of the city. If you’d rather, we can leave you off at your real Riad after the visit, which can end at any time.
Day 5: Fes ⇢ Middle Atlas ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Merzouga
At 8:00 a.m., our guide will pick you up from your Riad in Fes. Via Ifrane, Azrou, cedar forests, and the Ziz valley canyon, we begin our journey across the Middle Atlas to the Erg Chebbi dunes. We stop for lunch in Midelt on this interesting trip through beautiful scenery that provides great photo opportunities.
After riding a camel for two hours to enjoy the sun setting at a height of 250 meters, we continue to a luxurious desert camp where dinner is freshly made and served under the stars. It is always pleasant to gather around a fire for some drum music after dinner.

If we get up early enough, we can see the sunrise spectacular, when the dunes’ color and the shadows’ interaction create an amazing sight. We depart for Tinghir and the Todgha gorges for lunch after breakfast.
